EASY FALL HIKE FOR LEAP PEEPING SEASON
Meadow Creek Trail- Frisco, Colorado
My first fall in Colorado has been extremely busy. I learned that the leaf peeping season only lasts a few weeks, and everyone heads to the mountains on the weekends. I was able to get a few good hikes in to experience the beautiful changing aspens. Meadow Creek Trail is a great hike if you want to be fully surrounded by aspen groves. It's also really easy to get to off of the interstate and has great views of Lake Dillon!
My best friend was in town for the weekend from New Orleans, and we just had to go up to the mountains for a hike. Meadow Creek Trail is an 8 mile out and back trail, but we only did about a one mile stroll. Thankfully we didn't go farther because it started storming right when we got back to the car. Be sure to plan to do this hike in the peak of fall, and be prepared for it to be crowded.
My favorite part was going through these beautiful aspen groves!
The hike goes through a meadow that looks over Lake Dillon and Frisco. It's such an amazing view!
Here's me in action! I love spending every weekend photographing in the mountains!
On the way back down we stopped along Meadow Creek. One of my favorite things to photograph are the creeks and rivers in Colorado. Each one is so peaceful and gorgeous!
All in all, Meadow Creek Trail is a great go to hike for some easy leaf peeping! Hurry up and get out there before winter comes, or just save this one for next year! View more photos from the hike HERE!
